Tich-Mir Base Camp Trek

Terich valley is populated with several small villages separated by groaves of apricot and apple trees. The valley is very fertile and the resulting verdant floor is in breathtaking contrasts to orange and yellow apricots and apples, especially in late summer. After driving up to Zani Pass 3840m trek descends down to the last human settlement of the region, village Shagrom at Terichmir Guest House and Camping Site for the night stay. At the crest of Zani Pass there are excellent views of the Peaks of Hindukush and Hindu Raj ranges and the color contrasts of the two are readily discernible. Trekking through the summer pastures of Athak and Bandok to Sheniak- Jungle of birch and willow trees at the foot of lower Terich Glacier. From here trek on to the lower and upper Terich Glacier up to (Babu Camp) Base Camp 4700m. On route there are many attractive 7000m peaks like; Tirich Mir 7708m, Noshaq 7492m Istor-o-Nal 7403m besides other.

Day 01: Arrival in Islamabad. Rest/afternoon city tour. (Hotel)
Day 02: Fly or drive to Chitral. (Hotel)
Day 03: Drive to Zani Pass (3480m) for great views of the peaks of Hindukush and Hindu Raj. Start of trek and descend down to Shagrom 2900m (the last human settlement of the region) for night stay at Terichmir Guest House. From the pass to Shagrom 2-3 hours walk. (Home Stay)
Day 04: Trek to Sheniak 3540m through the willow trees and summer pasture, along the river of Terich. Walking time 5-6 hours. (Camping)
Day 05: Continue trek onto the lower Tirich glacier and then moraine to Shughur Baisun 4038m. 5-6 Hours Trek. (Camping)

Day 06: Trek besides the upper Tirich glacier to Tirich Mir, Noshaq and Istor o Nal Base Camp (4700m). 6-7 hours trek. Best view of Terich Concordia and surrounding peaks. (Camping)

Day 07: Rest Days for Photography of surrounding mountains and Exploration of the area. (Camping)
Day 08: Trek back to Shughur Baisun. 4-5 hours trek.(Camping)
Day 09: Trek to Sheniak, Jungle of birch and willow trees. 4-5 Hours trek. (Camping)
Day 10: Trek to Shagrom. 4-5 hours trek. (Home Stay)
Day 11: Drive back to Chitral. 5 hours drive. (Hotel)
Day 12: Visit to Alexander’s lost tribe. The Kalash of Hindukush. 2 hours drive. Return back to Chitral in the afternoon. (Hotel)
Day 13: Fly to Peshawar (40mins). Afternoon visit to Museum. (Hotel)
Day 14: Drive for Islamabad, through Motorway. 2 Hours Drive. (Hotel)
Day 15: Rest day for Shopping and sightseeing in Islamabad. (Hotel)
Day 16: Transfer to Airport for Home destination.
