K-6 & K-7 Expedition

K6 & K7 Peak Expedition – Discover the Twin Titans of Hushe Valley

“Two Legendary Summits – One Epic Adventure in the Heart of the Karakoram”

Nestled in the heart of Pakistan’s Hushe Valley, K6 (7,282m) and K7 (6,934m) stand as proud sentinels of the Karakoram Range, casting their shadows over lush meadows, glacial rivers, and timeless Balti villages. These majestic peaks are among the most dramatic and technically exciting climbing destinations in Pakistan, ideal for experienced mountaineers in search of adventure, purity, and solitude.

At Chogholingsa Trek & Tours, we offer professionally guided, locally supported expeditions to both peaks. Whether you’re drawn to the icy flanks of K6, or the granite towers of K7, this is where alpinist dreams are forged.

🛖 Rich Culture of Hushe Valley – Immerse yourself in Balti hospitality and folklore

🧭 Remote and Unspoiled – Far from commercial routes, in the shadow of giants like Laila Peak and Masherbrum

📷 Scenic Grandeur – Ultimate alpine views of Kondus, Masherbrum, and Saltoro Ranges

📜 Climbing History

K6 was first climbed in 1970 by an Austrian team led by Gerhard Haberl, through a challenging snow and ice route. K7, however, gained fame for its sheer alpine granite walls, with the first ascent made in 1984 by Japanese climbers using fixed ropes and camps.

More recently, elite alpine climbers have attempted new routes on K7, turning it into a canvas for pure alpine-style ascents.
